Contract Physical Therapist (PT) — Pleasant Hill, CA (13-Week Travel Assignment)

Join a contract Physical Therapy team in Pleasant Hill, CA. This is a 13-week assignment starting ASAP with a schedule of Tue–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,383/36 hrs; Local rate $2,347/36 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
• CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to determine patient needs.
• Create individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold as clinically indicated.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, assistive device use, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Prescribe and teach appropriate assistive-device usage (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Develop and adjust pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise plans of care as needed to meet goals.
• Provide tailored home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery and independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
• Practice cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
