Contract Physical Therapist (PT) — 13-Week Travel Position, Phillipsburg NJ (Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30)

Rate: Travel $2,244/35 hrs; Local $2,212/35 hrs

Required credentials

• Active Physical Therapy state license
• CPR/BLS (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Core responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations: review medical history, assess mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, pain, functional status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term goals.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions: therapeutic exercise, manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching), modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold).
• Train and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide gait training.
• Create and teach home exercise programs; instruct patients and families on condition management, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, OTs, etc.) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Apply pain management strategies and support functional independence after surgery, injury, or illness.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; provide culturally sensitive care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
