Join a collaborative clinical team in Monterey, CA on a 14-week contract (travel/local) beginning ASAP. This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with competitive pay: Travel $2,182/36 hrs; Local $2,149/36 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to identify patient needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals and adjust plans based on patient progress.
  • Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Employ manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support pain control and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients with assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to promote safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Develop and teach home exercise programs to support continuity of care and functional independence.
  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical records and notes.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and provide culturally responsive care.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
