Ready to join a supportive team in Brooklyn Park, MD? This 14-week contract/travel assignment starts ASAP with a standard schedule of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Pay is $1,827 per 35-hour week for travel or $1,799 per 35-hour week for local clinicians.

What we’re looking for

  • An active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross (AED included).

What you’ll do

  • Perform thorough evaluations: review medical histories, assess function and impairments, and collaborate with colleagues to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead targeted exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on manual techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) when appropriate to manage pain and support tissue healing.
  • Train patients in safe use of assistive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Teach patients and family members about diagnoses, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Implement pain management strategies using exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve overall quality of life.
  • Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as patients respond.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide customized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Follow ethical and legal standards, including confidentiality and informed consent, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
