     Newborn Nursey Coverage - Pediatric Hospitalist



Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group, in collaboration with Mercy Health, is seeking BoardCertified/BoardEligible Pediatric Hospitalists to join our growing newborn care team in Ohio. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide highquality newborn nursery care within a respected, communityfocused health system.

Position Overview

As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will deliver comprehensive care to newborns in the wellbaby nursery while working closely with obstetric, nursing, and neonatal teams to support healthy starts and smooth transitions home.

This role is ideal for pediatric physicians who value teamwork, familycentered care, and a practice environment committed to clinical excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide newborn nursery coverage, including exams, admissions, and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN providers, neonatologists, nursing teams, and lactation consultants
  • Participate in delivery room care as needed for newborn stabilization
  • Support a familycentered approach, including parental education and care coordination
  • Engage in quality and safety initiatives aligned with Pediatrix standards
  • Document care in alignment with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
