Job Summary:
Riverside Community Hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine Residency Program DirectorQualified Candidates:
- Must be ABIM or AOBIM board certified in internal medicine
- Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of educational or administrative GME experience in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- Must have strong administrative and team building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Part-time GME (.5) and part-time clinical (.5)
- Demonstrate ongoing clinical and research activities to model core competencies for residents and faculty
- Clinical time can be outpatient clinic or hospital medicine
Program Director Responsibilities:
The Program Director is a faculty member with the authority and accountability for the overall operation of the residency program. Key responsibilities include:
- Administration and Operations: Oversight of the daily operations of the program and ensuring compliance with all ACGME requirements.
- Educational Oversight: Designing and conducting the program to meet the needs of the community and the missions of the program and Sponsoring Institution.
- Competency and Environment: Maintaining a learning environment that educates residents in all ACGME Competency domains and promoting a culture of professional, respectful discussion.
- Personnel Management: Leading the recruitment, selection, evaluation, promotion, and discipline of residents.
- Faculty Management: Approving or removing faculty members at all participating sites and overseeing their evaluation and scholarly activities.
- Clinical Leadership: Serving as a role model for professionalism and high-quality patient care while maintaining ongoing clinical activity.
- Reporting structure: The Program Director reports to the DIO

Riverside Community Hospital is a 503-bed acute care, Level II Trauma facility, serving our neighbors since 1901 in greater Riverside County.
