We’re looking for a skilled Physical Therapist to join a team in West Reading, PA, for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Compensation (35-hour week):

  • Travel: $1,922
  • Local: $1,894

What you’ll need:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

What you’ll do:

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for recovery and function.
  • Design and lead exercise programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use manual therapy techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and facilitate healing.
  • Train patients in the safe and effective use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and implement pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide customized home exercise programs to support continued recovery outside of sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide patient-centered care that respects diverse backgrounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
