Join a Philadelphia-based team as a contracted Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This full-time role follows an 08:00 AM–04:30 PM shift Sunday–Saturday as scheduled. Compensation: Travel rate $1,876/35 hrs; Local rate $1,848/35 hrs.

Required credentials

  • Active, valid PA Physical Therapy license
  • Current CPR/BLS certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Core responsibilities

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical histories, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to determine patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Employ manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) appropriately to manage pain and promote healing.
  • Train patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and prescribe home exercise programs to support continuity of care.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on progress toward goals; maintain accurate clinical records and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members to optimize outcomes.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical documentation, and collaboration to restore function and independence.
