Physical Therapist (Contract/Travel) — 13-Week Assignment, Bryn Athyn/Huntingdon Valley, PA

Contract Physical Therapist position in Bryn Athyn, PA. Start ASAP for a 13-week assignment. Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,803/35 hrs; Local rate $1,775/35 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapy license in the practicing state
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Key responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with the care team to identify patient needs and goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation objectives
• Create therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
• Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
• Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing
• Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, ergonomics, body mechanics, and injury prevention
• Provide home exercise programs and ongoing education to support continued recovery
• Monitor, document, and adapt treatment based on patient progress and outcomes
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to ethical and legal standards, secure informed consent, and protect patient confidentiality
• Deliver culturally sensitive care and accommodate diverse patient needs
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
