We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join a team in Fall River, MA for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. This role is full-time, scheduled 08:00 AM–04:30 PM seven days a week (Sun–Sat), and offers competitive travel and local rates.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and work closely with other clinicians to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and lead therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Provide hands-on interventions—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Use modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy as appropriate to support healing and pain control.
  • Train and advise patients on safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and strategies for injury prevention, ergonomics, and body mechanics.
  • Develop and adjust pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to enhance functional outcomes and quality of life.
  • Continuously evaluate and document progress, updating plans based on patient response.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide clear, personalized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care that respects diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
