Location: Oakland, CA | Type: Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,317 / 35 hrs; Local $2,282 / 35 hrs

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The clinician will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress to maximize functional recovery and independence.

Requirements

  • Current, active California Physical Therapy license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical history to determine patient needs
  • Create goal-driven, individualized treatment plans and revise them based on progress
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including exercise prescription, manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques), and function-focused training
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) appropriately to manage pain and promote healing
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, home exercise programs, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Develop and implement pain management strategies integrating therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Facilitate post-operative and post-injury rehabilitation to restore independence and quality of life
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and plan modifications
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
