• Opportunity for a full-time Pulmonologist to join an established pulmonology department in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
• This position is primarily clinic-based, serving as the sole pulmonology specialist within the practice.
• Sleep Medicine fellowship training is highly recommended/preferred.
• Physician will also function as the Respiratory Rehabilitation Director within the organization.
• Provide occasional hospital consult support as needed.
• Opportunity to grow the pulmonology program through outreach services across the healthcare system’s service area, supporting a patient population of approximately 102,000.
• Practice in a modern, state-of-the-art medical clinic facility designed to support comprehensive specialty care.
• Work collaboratively with medical center physicians, hospital administration, outpatient clinic staff, and respiratory therapy teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Patient Care & Procedures
• Manage a full spectrum of pulmonary conditions, including:
o Asthma
o Cystic fibrosis
o Emphysema
o Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
o Interstitial lung disease
o Lung cancer
o Pulmonary hypertension
o Sleep disorders
• Perform or oversee key pulmonary procedures including:
o Bronchoscopy
o Spirometry
o Pulmonary stress testing
o Pulmonary function testing
o Sleep studies (preferred but not required)
Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with physicians, clinical staff, and hospital leadership.
• Interest in practice development and outreach within a regional healthcare system.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care in a rural healthcare setting.
