Join a team in York, PA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $2,195/35 hrs; Local: $2,163/35 hrs.

What we need from you

  • Active, valid state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include AED).

What you’ll do

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with other care providers to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehab goals.
  • Design and progress exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) when appropriate to manage pain and support healing.
  • Train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to promote independence.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment strategies, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and implement pain-management approaches using exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain function after surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet goals.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide tailored home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards, protect patient confidentiality, and obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care that respects diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
