We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Hemet, CA on a 13-week contract, starting ASAP. This is a weekday role (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Compensation: Travel rate $2,317/35-hrs; Local rate $2,282/35-hrs.

What you’ll need

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (AED included)

What you’ll do

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with the care team to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and set measurable rehab goals.
  • Develop and lead exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching—to boost mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support healing and comfort.
  • Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide mobility training.
  • Teach patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, ergonomics, and proper body mechanics.
  • Implement pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support patients’ return to independence after surgery, injury, or illness and adapt plans as progress is made.
  • Document assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, OTs, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards—maintain confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and practice cultural sensitivity.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
