Location: Watchung, NJ | Start: ASAP | Schedule: Full-time, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM

We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in Watchung. You’ll play an important role in evaluating and treating patients, guiding support staff, and collaborating with the rehab team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

What we need from you

  • Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of practice or proof of eligibility
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy — or a Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy — or a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with at least 5 years’ PT experience
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

What you’ll do

  • Screen, examine, evaluate, and diagnose patients; set measurable treatment goals and document all services and plans
  • Design and deliver therapeutic programs, including aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility exercises, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic and mechanical modalities, and chronic disease management
  • Incorporate health and wellness programming and fall-risk assessment/intervention into care plans
  • Monitor progress, perform routine reexaminations, and modify or progress treatments as needed
  • Teach mobility skills and evaluate patients’ responses and behaviors
  • Perform home and community mobility assessments and recommend safety modifications
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to select and adapt appropriate therapeutic regimens for each patient
  • Refer patients to other disciplines or community agencies when appropriate
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in line with state licensure and professional standards
  • Keep clinical and billing documentation timely and accurate, adhere to department schedules, and attend required meetings and care conferences
  • Order, maintain, clean, and report equipment needs or repairs; ensure supplies are stocked
  • Promote a safe environment by identifying and eliminating fire and safety hazards
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate service to patients and families
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
