Registered Nurse (RN) — Correctional/Adolescent Medicine, 13-Week Contract — Granville County, NC (MonFri 7:003:30)

Adelphi is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide professional, contract nursing services at a secure juvenile facility in Granville County (Butner), North Carolina. This role requires independent practice and experience caring for adolescents in structured settings.

Assignment details

• Specialty: Correctional Medicine (secure juvenile setting)
• Patient population: Adolescents
• Duration: 13-week assignment, possible renewal
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm (8-hour shifts)
• Start date: ASAP
• Pay rate: $45–$50/hr

Required qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional, or emergency nursing
• Ability to work independently as the sole on-site medical provider when needed
• Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Teams or WebEx
• Proficiency with PointClickCare electronic charting
• Completion of orientation (virtual or in-person) and facility tour

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within the RN scope of practice, emphasizing adolescent health
• Safely administer medications in accordance with regulations and facility policies
• Monitor, assess, and document changes in residents’ medical conditions; maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with direct care staff to ensure continuity of care while functioning independently when required
• Promote health, safety, and wellness within a secure environment and adhere to all facility security procedures
• Participate in required trainings and virtual meetings (camera visibility as directed)
• Perform other duties as assigned
