Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,244/35 hrs; Local $2,212/35 hrs

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join a collaborative team in Salinas for a 14-week contract. The ideal clinician conducts thorough evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers evidence-based interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and promote patient independence across diverse populations.

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs and goals
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives
  • Design therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Apply manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft-tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and relieve pain
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as clinically indicated
  • Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Develop and adjust pain management strategies incorporating therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy
  • Facilitate functional recovery after surgery, injury, or illness to maximize independence and quality of life
  • Monitor and document patient progress; revise plans of care as needed
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Prepare clear, accurate clinical documentation (assessments, treatments, progress notes)
  • Maintain professional, ethical practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet diverse patient needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
