Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
Rate: Travel $2,257 / 36 hrs; Local $2,225 / 36 hrs

Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Mount Olive, NC. The clinician will provide patient-centered assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services across a diverse caseload, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective recovery and functional independence.

Required qualifications:

  • Current, active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and coordinate with healthcare colleagues to determine patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Provide manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, therapeutic stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, thermotherapy/cryotherapy) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and train patients in the safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and oversee pain-management strategies incorporating exercises, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Facilitate patient independence following surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, revise plans of care as indicated, and maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, treatment notes, and changes in condition).
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care, obtain informed consent, and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
