Type: Contract/Travel
Compensation: Travel: $2,121/35 hrs; Local: $2,090/35 hrs

Overview:
Join a collaborative clinical team delivering patient-centered physical therapy care in Chambersburg. We seek a licensed, compassionate clinician to perform evaluations, create and implement individualized treatment programs, and support patients in regaining function and independence.

Required Credentials:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (including AED)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to identify patient needs.
  • Establish measurable rehabilitation goals and design individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Apply manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and inflammation and support tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients with assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train in safe use.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and monitor pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual interventions.
  • Support postoperative and post-injury recovery to maximize independence and quality of life.
  • Reassess and document patient progress regularly; modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide clear home exercise programs and patient education to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
