We’re looking for a skilled Physical Therapist to join a team in Mendham Township, NJ on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work a full, consistent schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and can expect competitive travel and local pay rates: Travel $1,876/35 hrs or Local $1,848/35 hrs.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Design and lead therapeutic exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to control pain, reduce inflammation, and support healing.
  • Train and advise patients in the safe use of assistive devices like crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment expectations, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
  • Implement pain-management strategies that combine exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their overall quality of life.
  • Track, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, and communicate updates to physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists.
  • Provide customized home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation—assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and tailor care to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).
