We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join a team in Brooklyn Park, MD on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work a daytime schedule (08:00 AM–04:30 PM) and play a key role in helping patients recover mobility and independence. Travel pay: $1,876/35-hours; Local: $1,848/35-hours.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to pinpoint patient needs.
  • Create and manage individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and progress exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities—ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold—as appropriate to support healing and comfort.
  • Teach and fit assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and monitor pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Support patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness to regain function and improve quality of life.
  • Continuously reassess progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, OTs, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide customized home-exercise programs to encourage continued recovery outside the clinic.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records and adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive care and adapt approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).
