Location: Nether Providence Township (Wallingford), PA | Type: Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rate: Travel $1,995/35 hrs; Local $1,967/35 hrs

Overview:
Join a collaborative outpatient setting providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation. You will evaluate, treat, and educate patients across the continuum of care, working with an interdisciplinary team to restore function and independence.

Required:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS (AHA or Red Cross, AED included)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Create and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Deliver manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to support pain relief and tissue healing.
  • Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Provide home exercise programs and self-management strategies to support long-term recovery.
  • Monitor, document, and modify interventions based on patient progress and outcomes.
  • Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards while demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
