Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic NP/PA — Inpatient/OR & ICU Call (Springfield, OH; AprJul 2026)

We’re looking for a Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage in Springfield, OH from April through July 2026. This is a clinical role with call responsibilities supporting adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting.

Schedule & Coverage

• Coverage window: April – July 2026 (specific open dates listed below)
• Shifts to be filled:
  • Apr 6 (7:00 AM) – Apr 13 (7:00 AM)
  • Apr 20 (7:00 AM) – Jun 1 (7:00 AM)
• Typical shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shift patterns: either 3-day blocks or 10-day stretches
• Call: starts 3:00 PM or 3:30 PM depending on day
  • Evening call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Rounds required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage an adult/geriatric patient census of roughly 5–20 patients
• Participate in OR call and ICU/CVICU call coverage
• Perform routine cardiothoracic duties including rounding, coordinating care, ordering and interpreting tests, and writing prescriptions
• Assist with vein harvesting procedures
• Work within Epic EMR

Support & Backup

• 24/7 emergency services available
• Maternity, critical care/intensive care, surgical, and pediatric support on site
• Critical care experience is a plus and may be considered

Requirements

• Active Ohio license or ability to obtain quickly
• Board Certified (BC)
• ACLS certification
• Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation date
• Must be available for the specified open dates
