Schedule
- Regular: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (95% outpatient, 5% inpatient)
- Call: EMTALA coverage
- Weekly: Fri 5:00 PM → Mon 8:00 AM
- Every other weekend
- Two overnight calls per week (7:00 AM → 7:00 AM)
Patient & Practice
- Patient population: Adults only
- Typical daily volume: ~22 patients (2–3 new consults)
- Case mix: 70% oncology, 30% hematology
- Current staff: 2 physicians, 3 mid-levels
- Onsite support: 1 PA-C, 2 APRNs, 5 consultative RNs, 6 infusion RNs, 1 research RN
- Exam rooms: 10
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital privileges required
Clinical & Procedural
- Chemotherapy administered onsite
- Required procedure: Intrathecal chemotherapy
- Preferred procedure: Intracavitary chemotherapy
- Lab onsite; hematology analyzers (2) for CBCs; serum chemistry for CMPs, etc.
Requirements & Credentials
- Active Kentucky medical license
- Board certified (Hematology/Oncology)
- Hematology/Oncology fellowship training
- BLS and ACLS
- COVID-19 vaccination proof
Logistics & Compensation
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided by facility

- Role is primarily outpatient with limited inpatient responsibilities
- Ideal for candidates comfortable with intrathecal chemotherapy and EMTALA hospital call
