Travel Contract Physical Therapist (PT) — Lanham, MD (13-Week, Mon–Fri)

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Lanham, MD for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and offers competitive pay (Travel: $2,048/35-hours; Local: $2,016/35-hours).

What you’ll bring

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

What you’ll do

• Perform thorough evaluations by reviewing medical histories and collaborating with the care team to pinpoint patient needs.
• Create clear, individualized treatment plans with measurable rehab goals.
• Design and lead exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
• Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to address pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
• Train patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Teach patients and families about conditions, home programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Develop and adjust pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Help patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life.
• Monitor progress continuously, document outcomes, and adapt treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and follow ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and respect patients’ diverse needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
