Contract Physical Therapist (PT) — 13-Week Travel Assignment, Miami Gardens, FL

We’re seeking a Physical Therapist to join a team in Miami Gardens, FL on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Pay is competitive: Travel rate $1,677/35 hrs; Local rate $1,652/35 hrs.

What you’ll need:

• Valid, active Physical Therapy license for the state of Florida
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

What you’ll do:
You’ll evaluate patients, review medical histories, and collaborate with the rest of the care team to create individualized treatment plans and measurable rehab goals. Expect to design and lead exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination, and use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft-tissue work, manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain. You’ll also apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate.

Other day-to-day duties include:

• Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
• Training patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
• Developing pain-management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual therapy
• Helping patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness
• Creating and updating home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery
• Continuously assessing and documenting progress, and modifying plans as needed
• Communicating clearly with physicians, nurses, OTs, and other team members to coordinate care
• Keeping accurate, timely patient records and adhering to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adapting care to meet diverse patient needs
• Performing other duties as assigned by management
