Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide therapy services to students with severe disabilities at a school facility in Eldon, Missouri. The PT will deliver services in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and follow an integrated therapy approach within the classroom setting.

  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license in good standing.
  • Experience providing therapy services to individuals ages 521 with severe disabilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with integrated therapy approach, IEPs, and IDEA regulations.
  • Must complete Family Care Safety Registry screening and FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a multidisciplinary educational environment. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students as required by their IEPs.
  • Deliver consultation services to classroom staff and personnel to support student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Implement therapy using an integrated classroom-based approach.
  • Review student records and IEPs to ensure appropriate service delivery.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to coordinate therapy schedules and services.
  • Document all therapy services, including service details, duration, and required data entry within designated systems.
  • Assist with IEP-related documentation, including present level information and progress updates when requested.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and consultations as required by thee school.
  • Provide additional requested services such as staff training, development of materials, or participation in IEP meetings.
  • Ensure continuity of services during absences, extended leave, or staffing changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all mandated reporting and conduct requirements.
  • Adhere to all school policies regarding student safety, conduct, and abuse prevention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
