Location: Fall River, MA | Role: Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Sun–Sat, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM | Rate: Travel $2,244/35 hrs; Local $2,212/35 hrs

Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Fall River, MA. The ideal clinician will provide patient-centered care across the continuum of rehabilitation, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and document outcomes accurately while adhering to professional and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical history, and coordinate with clinical team members to determine patient needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation objectives
  • Create and supervise therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing
  • Instruct patients in safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs)
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Implement pain management strategies combining therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Support patients in regaining functional independence following surgery, injury, or illness
  • Monitor and document progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve goals
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Provide individualized home exercise programs and ensure accurate, timely charting of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and practice with cultural sensitivity and professionalism
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
