Rate: Travel $2,317 / 35 hrs; Local $2,282 / 35 hrs

Requirements

  • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and coordinate with the care team to determine patient needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated for pain control and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize safe mobility.
  • Create and teach personalized home exercise programs; educate patients and families on condition management, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support patients in regaining independence post-surgery, injury, or illness.
  • Continuously assess and document patient progress; modify treatment plans based on outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, treatments, progress notes, condition changes).
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care tailored to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
