Travel RN Nights Orthopedics (Bone & Joints) Herrin, IL (36-hr Contract)

We’re looking for an experienced RN to join an orthopedic team in Herrin, IL for a night-shift contract (start ASAP). This role focuses on caring for patients with bone and joint conditions—post-op joint replacements, fracture care, and other musculoskeletal needs—on a 36-hour schedule with a competitive rate of $1,930 per 36 hours.

What you’ll bring:

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior orthopedic or surgical nursing experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Provide focused nursing care for orthopedic patients, including post-operative management for joint and bone surgeries
• Perform musculoskeletal assessments, monitor recovery, and watch for complications
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Assist with patient mobility, rehabilitation activities, and fall-prevention measures
• Monitor surgical sites, casts, and traction devices and respond to changes in condition
• Coordinate care with physicians, physical/occupational therapists, and other team members
• Educate patients and families about recovery expectations and discharge instructions
• Accurately document care and patient progress in the EMR
