Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior orthopedic or surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic patients, including pre- and post-operative care
• Perform musculoskeletal assessments and monitor clinical recovery
• Manage post-op wounds, surgical sites, casts, and traction devices
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Assist with patient mobility, rehabilitation activities, and fall-prevention measures
• Collaborate with physicians, physical/occupational therapy, and other care team members
• Educate patients and families on recovery, home care, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, care provided, and patient progress in the EMR
