Requirements

• Active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Compliance with Missouri nursing regulations (Chapter 335 RSMo)
• Experience with individuals ages 5–21 with severe disabilities preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs and IDEA regulations preferred
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one nursing care to assigned student(s) per their IEP
• Support students’ medical needs during the school day and while on transportation (bus to/from school)
• Review medical histories and individual care plans to ensure safe, informed care
• Participate in IEP meetings; contribute to development, documentation, and progress reporting
• Consult with and provide training to teachers and school staff as required
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records in compliance with applicable regulations
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and staffings
• Adhere to state regulations, school policies, safety standards, and abuse prevention/reporting requirements
• Coordinate with school administrators and follow assigned schedules and duties
• Perform other duties as assigned
