Location: High Point, NC | Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | Rate: $1,104 per 40 hours | Contract/Non‑Travel

Overview:
Join a collaborative care team delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This 13-week contract position seeks a licensed practical nurse committed to safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing.

Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and documenting outcomes.
  • Perform wound assessment, cleaning, dressing changes, and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
  • Insert, maintain, and monitor IV lines and urinary catheters; collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records documenting condition changes, interventions, and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and basic pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing basic life support and following established protocols.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper PPE use; handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely.
  • Advocate for patient rights and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when required and perform other duties assigned by management.
  • Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing standards and best practices.
