Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of GI or Endoscopy nursing experience
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN) certification
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care for GI/endoscopy inpatients and procedural cases
- Monitor and assess patients pre- and post-endoscopy procedures
- Assist physicians during GI procedures as needed
- Administer medications and sedation per protocol and scope of practice
- Monitor patient vitals, response to treatment, and recovery status
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care instructions
- Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are followed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and GI teams
- Respond to clinical changes and escalate care when necessary
