Locum Emergency Medicine Physician — Solo 12-hr Shifts, Open ICU, Housing Provided (Clinton, NC)

We’re looking for a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to provide short-term locum coverage in Clinton, NC (28328). This is a clinical-only assignment covering a 12-hour shift from Apr 24, 2026 – Apr 25, 2026 to supplement the existing team.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide solo Emergency Department coverage during your shift, managing a typical load of 18–20 patients per 12-hour shift (the ED sees about 90–100 patients per day).
• Manage patients in an open ICU setting when needed.
• Work collaboratively with two mid-level providers (PA/NP) who help split coverage.

Logistics & support

• Shift schedule: 12-hour shifts.
• Service setting: Inpatient/outpatient.
• Travel expenses reimbursed up to $500.
• Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments.
• Malpractice coverage provided.

Facility & systems

• EMR: MediTech 6.1.
• Mid-level support: 2 PAs/NPs on staff.

Credentials & requirements

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Must hold an active NC medical license.
• NC Medicaid credentialing required and enrollment in PECOS.
• Hospital privileges not required; temporary privileges are available.
