Travel RN Psychiatric Emergency/Crisis (Behavioral Health) Lewiston, ME

We’re looking for an experienced RN to join a behavioral health team in Lewiston, ME on a contract/travel basis. This is a day shift position (7a–7p) starting ASAP, with a 40-hour week and a rate of $2,424/40-hours.

What you’ll do

• Conduct crisis and psychiatric nursing assessments, including suicide risk evaluations.
• Monitor patient safety and use verbal de-escalation and other crisis-management techniques.
• Administer psychiatric medications and treatments as ordered and document care in the EMR.
• Collaborate closely with behavioral health and ED staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and resource information to patients and families.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS required; CPI or other crisis prevention training preferred.
• Previous experience in behavioral health or emergency settings is preferred.
• Confidence managing high-acuity crisis situations and strong clinical judgment.
