We’re seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join a team in Clarksdale, MS for a 15-week contract starting ASAP. Your typical schedule will be Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation is competitive: Travel rate $2,121/35 hours or Local rate $2,090/35 hours.

What we need from you

  • Current, active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

What you’ll be doing
You’ll evaluate and treat a diverse caseload, working closely with patients and the wider healthcare team to restore function and independence. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough physical assessments, reviewing medical history, and coordinating with colleagues to understand patient needs
  • Creating individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals
  • Designing and guiding exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination
  • Using hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft-tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Applying therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and thermal agents to help with pain and tissue healing
  • Teaching and fitting assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to improve mobility and safety
  • Coaching patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Developing pain-management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual techniques
  • Helping patients regain independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve quality of life
  • Regularly reassessing and documenting progress, updating treatment plans as needed
  • Communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
  • Providing customized home exercise programs to support recovery
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and any changes in condition
  • Adhering to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards, obtaining informed consent, and showing cultural sensitivity in patient care
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
