Join a fast-paced perioperative team in Gardner, MA as a contract Registered Nurse supporting SDC/PAT and ambulatory surgery. This role starts ASAP, is a 40-hour contract assignment, and pays $2,280/40 hours.

You must hold an active RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BLS is required; ACLS is preferred. Prior perioperative, pre-admission testing (PAT), or ambulatory surgery experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and the ability to function effectively in a high-volume surgical environment.

Key responsibilities include providing pre- and post-operative nursing care; conducting pre-admission testing and surgical readiness assessments; preparing patients for procedures and ensuring accurate documentation; monitoring recovery, airway, and post-anesthesia status; administering medications and IV therapy as ordered; identifying risks and confirming completion of pre-op clearances; educating patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions; collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team; and documenting care and patient responses in the EMR.
