We’re looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join a team in Waldorf, MD for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a full schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM). Travel rate: $2,516 per 38-hour week; Local rate: $2,478 per 38-hour week.

What we need from you

  • A current, active Physical Therapy license for the state.
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform thorough physical assessments and review medical histories to understand each patient’s needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to create clear, achievable rehabilitation goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
  • Use hands-on techniques—joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and manual stretching—to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy) as appropriate to support healing and comfort.
  • Train patients in safe, effective use of assistive devices like crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create pain-management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Support patients’ return to independence after surgery, injury, or illness to improve their quality of life.
  • Monitor and document progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and provide tailored home exercise programs to maintain gains.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records including assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
  • Follow legal and ethical standards—protect patient confidentiality and obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
