Rate: Travel: $2,317/35 hrs; Local: $2,282/35 hrs

Required credentials:

  • Active, valid California Physical Therapy license
  • CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included)

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories to determine patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Use manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate for pain control, inflammation reduction, and tissue healing.
  • Provide instruction and training on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and safe mobility techniques.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and provide individualized home exercise programs to support continuity of care.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress and response to therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including assessments, treatment notes, and changes in condition.
  • Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and deliver patient-centered care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
