Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Rate: Travel: $1,995/35 hrs; Local: $1,967/35 hrs

Required:

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED)

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations: review medical history, assess musculoskeletal and functional status, and identify impairments and activity limitations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals for rehabilitation and discharge.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, manual stretching), and functional training to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and mobility.
  • Apply modalities as indicated (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train in safe use.
  • Teach patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Monitor and modify interventions based on ongoing assessment of patient response and progress toward goals.
  • Document timely, accurate records of evaluations, treatment notes, progress, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and legal standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, obtain informed consent, and adhere to ethical and legal practice standards.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and adapt approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
