Location: Fair Lawn, NJ | Type: Contract/Travel | Start: ASAP | Duration: 11 weeks
Schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Rate: Travel: $2,317/35 hrs; Local: $2,282/35 hrs

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an 11-week contract in Fair Lawn, NJ. The ideal clinician will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to restore patient function and independence.

Required qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapy state license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, including AED)

Key responsibilities

  • Perform thorough evaluations and review medical histories to determine patient needs and rehabilitation goals
  • Create and adjust individualized treatment plans with measurable objectives
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching), and functional training
  • Administer modalities as appropriate (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain, inflammation, and tissue healing
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train for safe use
  • Provide patient- and family-centered education on diagnoses, home exercise programs, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention
  • Implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy
  • Facilitate post-surgical and post-injury recovery to maximize independence and quality of life
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; revise plans of care as indicated
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation of assessments, treatments, and outcomes
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members
  • Uphold ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
