Join a 14-week contract as a Physical Therapist in Knightdale, NC. Start ASAP. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,775/35 hrs; Local rate $1,750/35 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

Position overview:
Provide patient-centered rehabilitation services through comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery, restore function, and improve quality of life.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations and review medical histories to identify functional deficits and patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
  • Design therapeutic exercise programs to address strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Deliver hands-on interventions (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as appropriate to support healing and symptom management.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, home exercise programs, assistive device use, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Create and adjust pain management strategies integrating therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.
  • Facilitate functional independence after surgery, injury, or illness, tracking progress and modifying plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members.
  • Uphold legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
