Join a 14-week contract/travel assignment in Mendham Township, NJ, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,244/35 hrs; Local rate $2,212/35 hrs.

Required credentials

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).

Position overview
Deliver patient-centered physical therapy services across the continuum of care. You will perform evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, use manual techniques and therapeutic modalities, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to restore function, manage pain, and promote independence.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and review medical histories to identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
  • Establish measurable treatment goals and design individualized plans to address strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and coordination.
  • Implement therapeutic exercise programs and hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat and cold therapy as clinically indicated.
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide home exercise programs.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate clinical records and progress notes.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards, including confidentiality and informed consent; demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
