Requirements

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (with AED).

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and review medical history to establish patient needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination.
• Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) as indicated.
• Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Create and adjust pain management strategies using exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
• Support patient independence post-surgery, injury, or illness to improve functional outcomes.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and uphold confidentiality, informed consent, and legal/ethical standards.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
