Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (Full-Scope OB/GYN) — Brown University Health, Providence RI

Brown University invites a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician to join a collaborative, well-resourced women’s health team in Providence, RI. This is a chance to practice full-scope OB/GYN in a supportive academic environment with strong clinical resources, experienced colleagues, and access to subspecialty care. Our lively department averages over 1,700 deliveries per year and offers robust opportunities for teaching, mentorship, case review, and supervising C-sections with Brown University residents.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary group that includes seven experienced OB/GYN physicians, full-time certified nurse midwives, a Gyn/Oncologist, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, and two hospitalists. The patient population is diverse, the clinical tempo is active, and the care model emphasizes teamwork and continuity. The clinical split is roughly 50/50 between obstetrics and gynecology, with protected administrative time and a manageable on-call schedule.

Position highlights

• Clinic: 4 clinic days per week
• OR: 0.5 day of dedicated operating time per week
• Admin: 1 full day of protected administrative time each week
• Call: 1:8 rotation, 12-hour shifts (exceptions on holidays)

Compensation & benefits

• Competitive base salary: $260,000–$300,000, plus incentives up to $50,000 annually

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
• Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure
