Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician — Night Shifts, Teaching & Academic Opportunity (Boston)

We are seeking a full-time Nocturnist to join an established hospitalist team in Boston.

Schedule and Clinical Practice

• Night shifts: Weekdays 6:45 PM–7:00 AM; Weekends 6:30 PM–7:00 AM (one weekend shift extends to 7:30 AM)
• One daytime weekend shift per month: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (covers 10 patients)
• Average: 12 twelve-hour shifts per month
• Typical admissions: 4–5 per shift
• Census/cross-coverage: 30–40 patients
• Night team: ~9 nocturnists per night with sick-call backup
• Team-based inpatient care; opportunities for teaching medical students and residents

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: starting at $295,000 for new graduates; increases with experience

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical license
• Prior hospitalist experience preferred but not required; new graduates welcome
