Locum Tenens Neurosurgeon — Sacramento, CA (Daily $3,000)

Locum neurosurgeon needed in Sacramento, CA to provide inpatient consultative and urgent/trauma surgical coverage for cases presenting via the ED or transfer center. Work with emergency physicians, hospitalists, and ICU teams to manage acute neurosurgical admissions and perform procedures as indicated.

Compensation

• $3,000 per day

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgical consultations for acute admissions
• Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases
• Perform neurosurgical procedures (elective and emergency) as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain patient safety and quality-of-care standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams

Schedule & coverage

• Locum tenens, PRN/as-needed coverage
• Predictable schedule; coverage may include consultative services and operative cases

Qualifications

• MD or DO from accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
