Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist — Adult Program in Phoenix (9–10 Patients, Academic Role)

We’re looking for a full-time Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist to join a large multi-specialty faculty practice in Phoenix, Arizona. You’ll care for hospitalized adults with serious mental illness in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment where patient care and education are equally valued.

What you’ll do

• Manage a census of about 9–10 adult inpatients (average length of stay ~22 days), primarily caring for involuntary admissions.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team—nurses, social workers, therapists, case managers—to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students (faculty appointment available for eligible candidates).

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain an Arizona medical license prior to start date
