LPN/LVN Long-Term Care (Las Cruces, NM) | 15-Week Contract, $950/36-hr, ASAP

We’re looking for a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse to join a short-term contract in Las Cruces, NM. This is a non-travel assignment starting ASAP for roughly 15 weeks. The shift runs 06:00 AM–06:30 PM, and the local rate is $950 for a 36-hour week.

What we need from you

• A valid, active LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include administering medications and IV therapies, performing wound care, checking and documenting vital signs, and completing thorough patient assessments to help build individualized care plans. You’ll collect lab specimens, care for urinary catheters, assist with mobility and positioning, and support pain management and comfort needs.

You’ll also educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care, and act as an advocate to help patients get the care they need. Accurate charting and safe handling/storage/disposal of medications and supplies are essential. You’ll follow infection-control protocols and respond quickly and professionally in emergencies, providing basic life support when required.

Teamwork and supervision
You’ll work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care. In some situations you may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Professional expectations
Stay current with best practices and regulations through ongoing education and training, and be prepared to take on other duties as assigned by management.
